Donna Sizemore Hale

Donna Sizemore Hale brings more than four decades of mission-driven leadership across healthcare, education, workforce development, youth empowerment, arts advocacy, and environmental initiatives. She has transformed two national membership associations into respected industry leaders and has helped nonprofits secure millions of dollars in grants from corporations, foundations, and government sources.

As a visionary executive, Donna has participated at national and international conferences and served on advisory and communications committees for organizations including The Independent Sector, the Alzheimer’s Association, and the National Council on Aging. She is a long-time member of ASAE.

Donna has planned and executed more than fifty national and regional conferences—securing sponsors and exhibitors, negotiating hotel contracts, and booking world-class artists such as Joshua Bell, Mark O’Connor, Midori, and Rachel Barton Pine. She has also collaborated with First Ladies Barbara Bush and Hillary Clinton on national communications campaigns and worked with Vice President Al Gore, Secretary Elizabeth Dole, and numerous Members of Congress on workforce, education, and healthcare policy.

Her communications work includes managing media relations, producing national radio and television public service announcements, and working with Bill Moyers on a documentary on youth at risk. She was also a founding member of the Music Education Roundtable.

Donna has forged partnerships with hundreds of organizations—including Justice in Aging, the National Caregiving Alliance, USAging, and the National Association for Music Education—building visibility and shared impact nationwide.

Her honors include the Ruth Von Behren Award and Innovator Award in adult day services, the Be the Change Award from James Madison University, and a runner-up award from Working Mother of the Year.

Donna earned a B.S. in Communication Arts from James Madison University and is a graduate of the Center for Creative Leadership.
